This Is Not a Government Office or Records Custodian. Cathedral City Residents Directory is a private reference service. It cannot retrieve records, certify copies, confirm occupancy, or change an official roll. Send those requests to the office that keeps the record. For an emergency, call 911. If you believe you are being stalked or harassed, contact local police.
Start With the Right Cathedral City Office
The correct custodian depends on the record, so choose the route before sending a request:
- Street and address work: start with the Cathedral City street directory workflow and its Riverside County property and parcel sources.
- Older directories and past households: use the Cathedral City city directory collections path.
- One-person verification: follow the Cathedral City resident lookup route across independent custodians.
- City-held material: review the Cathedral City public-records page and the NextRequest portal.
- Records not posted online: make a narrow request under the California Public Records Act to the custodian named for that record.

The city directs birth, death, and marriage records to Riverside County ACR or California Department of Public Health, as applicable. Court and divorce files belong to Riverside Superior Court. Property-tax records and ownership research belong to Riverside County offices, including the county Treasurer and ACR, not City Hall. The City Clerk is the place to ask for city-held legislative, permit, license, code, and other municipal records.
CPRA requests may be anonymous. Cathedral City warns that the request text and contact information can become public. An anonymous requester cannot receive updates or clarification requests, so monitor the NextRequest portal after submitting.
