Terms of Use

These terms apply to use of Cathedral City Residents Directory. Accessing or using the service means you accept the terms. Do not use it if you do not agree.

1. What This Website Is

Cathedral City Residents Directory is a privately operated reference. It describes and links to public rolls, record indexes, and directory collections related to Cathedral City and Riverside County, California. Sources include the Riverside County Assessor-County Clerk-Recorder, Riverside Superior Court, the Cathedral City City Clerk, and local library or archive collections. No government record is hosted here, and there is no affiliation with any office, court, or records custodian.

2. Rules for Using This Site

Use this service only in a lawful manner. You may not use it, or information reached through it, to:

  • Stalk, harass, intimidate, threaten, or injure another person
  • Locate a person protected by a restraining order or other protective order
  • Commit fraud, identity theft, or another unlawful act
  • Make a decision governed by the FCRA, including a credit, employment, tenant, or insurance decision
  • Scrape, reproduce, or republish the content at scale
  • Disrupt the service, bypass controls, or attack its security

3. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

Cathedral City Residents Directory is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, 15 U.S.C. § 1681 et seq. Neither the material here nor results returned by a linked search tool are consumer reports. They may not be used to assess eligibility for credit, employment, housing, insurance, or another FCRA-covered purpose.

4. Links to Outside Sites

External government portals and third-party services, including sponsored search tools, set their own terms and privacy practices. That includes the Riverside ACR records systems, Riverside Superior Court search, the Cathedral City public-records portal, and the Cathedral City Library. We do not control their content, availability, fees, or handling of submitted data.

5. No Warranties

The service is supplied "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind. No promise is made that a page, record description, external link, portal, or returned result is accurate, complete, available, or current.

6. Limits on Our Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operators are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or similar damages arising from use of this service or an external resource, including a decision based on a record reached through it.

7. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold the operators harmless from a claim or demand, including reasonable attorneys' fees, that results from your misuse of the service or breach of these terms.

8. Intellectual Property

The original writing, design, logo, and layout are protected by copyright. Linking to a page and quoting a short excerpt with attribution is permitted; republishing complete pages or systematically copying the material is not.

9. Changes to These Terms

A revised version may be posted here at any time. Continued use after the revised terms are posted constitutes acceptance of the changes.

10. Cutting Off Access

Access may be blocked or restricted for a user who violates these terms or abuses the service. This may occur at the operators' discretion and without advance notice.

11. Governing Law

California law governs these terms without regard to conflict-of-law principles. The California Public Records Act, Government Code §7920.000 et seq., governs requests for existing disclosable public records from covered agencies; it does not require an agency to create a new list or replace court access procedures. Where applicable to personal information handled by a covered business, the California Consumer Privacy Act and California Privacy Rights Act, Civil Code §§1798.100-1798.199.100, also apply. Read the California Public Records Act text and official California privacy guidance. Court records for Cathedral City matters remain subject to Riverside Superior Court rules and clerk procedures.

12. Severability

If a provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect.

13. Questions

Questions about these terms may be sent through the Contact page. Requests for an official record should go to the custodian identified for that record.
