Data You Give Us Directly
A name, phone number, or address entered in a search form is sent to the third-party provider that supplies the results. Cathedral City Residents Directory does not keep a copy of those searches on its own servers. If you contact us, the information visible to us is the information in your message, which is used to respond.
Data We Gather Automatically
Hosting systems may record ordinary server-log details such as IP address, browser type, pages visited, and time stamps. Those details may be reviewed in aggregate for site operations and page-use measurements. Cookies or similar tools may support basic analytics and, where applicable, advertising measurement.
What We Do With This Data
The limited information supports site operation, problem diagnosis, traffic measurement, and page improvement. Visitor lists are not sold, and individual user profiles are not built from this data.
Links to Other Websites
Links may take you to the Riverside County Assessor-County Clerk-Recorder, Riverside Superior Court, the Cathedral City Library, the Cathedral City public-records page, state archives, or third-party tools. The destination's privacy policy controls what is submitted there, including information sent through sponsored search results.
Who Might See Your Data
Hosting and other service providers may process the server logs described above. Analytics or advertising partners may receive automatic data used for those functions. Information is disclosed when valid legal process requires it, and otherwise is not disclosed except as needed to operate the service.
How We Protect Your Data
The site uses an encrypted connection. Logs are retained only for as long as the purposes described above require. Since there are no user accounts, this service does not hold a password or account profile for a visitor.
Users Under 18
Cathedral City Residents Directory is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If a minor may have sent information, use the Contact page so it can be reviewed and deleted.
Your Data Rights
The California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), appears in Civil Code §§1798.100-1798.199.100. Depending on the situation and whether a covered business is involved, California consumers may have rights to know, delete subject to exceptions, correct, opt out of sale or sharing, limit certain sensitive-information uses, and avoid discrimination for exercising those rights. The California Attorney General's official privacy guidance explains the state framework.
Because this service keeps very little, a request normally means checking the contact mailbox and relevant server logs. Use the Contact page to ask. Public records held by Cathedral City, Riverside County, California agencies, or other government custodians remain outside this site's control; a correction or removal request for one of those records must go to the office that maintains it. Requests for existing disclosable city or county records follow the California Public Records Act, Government Code §7920.000 et seq., rather than this site's privacy mailbox. California privacy rights do not automatically erase a deed, assessor entry, or court index.
Updates to This Policy
Changes will be posted on this page with the revised policy. Continued use after an update indicates acceptance of the new version.
